Do you clear customs at the Port of Montreal?
We arrange it. Entries are filed by a licensed customs broker partner and coordinated by us, so the clearance and the freight stay on one file and one person can tell you where both stand. We are not a customs broker and we do not file entries ourselves.
Does Setara Transport dray containers in Montreal?
No. Setara Transport runs Ontario and Ontario to Quebec lanes and declines Port of Montreal work. Montreal terminal moves go to vetted partner carriers who work those terminals daily, arranged and tracked by us.
Will my invoice show GST or HST on a Quebec delivery?
GST at 5 percent. The rate on a freight charge follows the destination province, so a shipment delivered in Quebec bills at 5 percent GST rather than 13 percent Ontario HST, even though the invoice comes from Ontario. Confirm how that applies to your own account with your accountant.
Can you move a full truckload from Ontario into Quebec?
