FTL and full truckload across Canada and the US.
Setara moves full truckloads across Canada and the United States. We run our own trucks on core lanes for dry van and cross-border, and lean on a vetted carrier network for broader reach and specialized equipment. Cross-border customs is coordinated through our licensed broker partner.
When does a full truckload make sense?
A full truckload is a shipment that fills a trailer or rides on its own dedicated truck, rather than sharing the deck with other freight. It is the right call when you have the volume to use most of a trailer, when your goods are fragile or time-sensitive and you want to skip the handling of consolidation, or when one driver from pickup to delivery is simply simpler.
We carry our core dry van and cross-border lanes on our own equipment, so most of your freight moves on a licensed carrier who owns the result. For the broader geographic reach, specialized gear, and surge volume, we tender to a vetted carrier network. You get capacity wherever the freight needs to go, with one point of contact and one invoice.
Cross-border full truckloads run in both directions on FAST trusted-trader crossings. Customs is coordinated through our licensed broker partner, never handled in-house, so the entry is lined up alongside the load. See the full equipment list and lanes on Setara.
What can you move on a full truckload?
Dry van full truckload

What is FTL, or full truckload?
FTL, or full truckload, is a shipment that fills a trailer or moves on its own dedicated truck rather than sharing space with other freight. It is the right fit when you have enough volume to use most of a trailer, when you want one driver from pickup to delivery, or when you want to avoid the handling that comes with consolidated freight.
Do you run your own trucks or broker the load?
Both. We run our own trucks and trailing equipment on our core lanes, and we tender broader reach and specialized equipment to a vetted carrier network. Either way you are working with a single point of contact and one invoice, and your freight moves on a carrier that owns the result. See Setara.
Can you handle cross-border full truckloads?
Yes. We run Canada-US full truckloads in both directions on FAST trusted-trader crossings. Customs is coordinated through our licensed broker partner, so the entry is lined up alongside the load and clearance is ready at the border rather than holding the truck.
When should I choose FTL instead of LTL?
Choose FTL when you have enough volume to fill most of a trailer, when your freight is fragile or time-sensitive and you want to avoid the extra handling of consolidation, or when one truck end to end is simpler and cheaper per unit. For smaller shipments, less than truckload (LTL) is usually the better value, and we can run either.
What equipment can you provide for a full truckload?
We run dry van on our core lanes for standard full truckloads. For flatbed, oversize, or temperature-controlled reefer freight, we source the right equipment through our vetted carrier network, on the same single point of contact and the same invoice. See coverage and equipment.
