Speak with our teamWhat is FTL, or full truckload?
FTL, or full truckload, is a shipment that fills a trailer or moves on its own dedicated truck rather than sharing space with other freight. It is the right fit when you have enough volume to use most of a trailer, when you want one driver from pickup to delivery, or when you want to avoid the handling that comes with consolidated freight.
How is truckload capacity arranged?
Setara Transport, our group’s carrier, hauls dry van and reefer full loads in Ontario and into Quebec. Cross-border and long-haul full truckloads go with vetted partner carriers that we book, track and invoice. Your account manager confirms equipment, routing and availability for the shipment, with one point of contact from booking through delivery.
Can you handle cross-border full truckloads?
Yes. Canada-US full truckloads run in both directions through our vetted carrier network. Customs is coordinated through our licensed customs broker partner, so the entry is lined up alongside the load and clearance is ready at the border rather than holding the truck.
Do you take LTL or partial loads?
No. Setara books full truckloads only, dry van and reefer, on Setara Transport, our group’s carrier, and with vetted partner carriers. Freight that does not fill a trailer, a few skids for example, belongs with an LTL carrier, and we do not book it.
Do you run multi-stop distribution centre runs?
Yes. Multi-stop distribution centre runs are welcome when the trailer leaves your dock full: one truckload, several DC deliveries, one rate. Send the stops with the origin and we quote the run as one full truckload.
What equipment can you provide for a full truckload?
We book dry van and reefer for standard and temperature-controlled full loads. Dry van and reefer are the only two trailer types we book. Every load is a full trailer, single drop or a multi-stop distribution centre run, on one file and one invoice.

Container drayage at the CN Brampton and CPKC Vaughan ramps, and dry van and reefer full truckloads on Ontario and Ontario to Quebec lanes, run on our group’s carrier. Cross-border and long haul move with vetted partner carriers, arranged by us and tracked on one file. You get group equipment on the Ontario leg and network reach on the rest, without managing two relationships.
